How to Care for Your Jewellery

Remove your jewellery before activities that may knock, scratch or expose it to moisture and chemicals.

• Sports and exercise: Weights, equipment and perspiration can affect a plated finish or loosen delicate details.
• Gardening and hands-on work: Soil, friction and hard surfaces can scratch metal and catch on settings.
• Household cleaning: Take pieces off before washing dishes or using soap, detergent, disinfectant or other cleaning products.
• Water: Remove jewellery before showering, bathing, swimming or entering a spa. Salt water and chlorine are especially harsh on plated pieces.

Give each piece a dry, secure place to rest whenever you take it off.

• Store separately: Keep pieces in a soft pouch or lined jewellery box so chains do not tangle and surfaces do not rub together.
• Put jewellery on last: Let perfume, sunscreen, lotion and makeup dry before wearing your pieces.
• Check the details: Look over clasps, stones and settings from time to time. If something feels loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.
• Choose a dry location: Avoid humid bathrooms, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

After wearing, gently wipe the piece with a clean, soft, dry cloth and let it dry fully before storage. Use a light touch around stones, enamel-effect colour, mother-of-pearl-effect details and other decorative surfaces.

Avoid soaking, hot water, ammonia, polishing compounds, ultrasonic cleaners, stiff brushes and chemical jewellery dips. These can damage plating, adhesives or surface finishes.
